Hi everyone, my name is Alex Mycroft. As you can see from this blog, I will be writing my MCAT at the end of the summer. I live in Toronto, Canada, and I attend the University of Toronto where I study biochemistry. I am going into my fourth year this coming September.
I attempted to write the MCAT last summer, expecting it was going to be easy. Unfortunately, it wasn't, and I performed very very poorly. I am going to save myself the embarrassment of announcing my score to everyone, lol. Last summer's experience did teach me a lesson, however, which is why I am going to study extremely hard for the MCAT this time around. I spent two whole hours composing a studying schedule (time very well wasted) in the hope that I will follow it... (past experience has suggested otherwise). I will do whatever I can.
I have looked into a few MCAT prep courses, and I am gravitating toward Kaplan because I have had good experience with them before for my SAT. But I have not yet convinced myself that I need to spend over $1500 for a month of material.
Wish me luck ^^
